How to Get to the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair
The Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair is held every year in Almaty—the largest city in Kazakhstan and the country’s former capital. Almaty is located in the south of the state, close to the border with Kyrgyzstan.
The city is served by Almaty International Airport, which is around 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from the center.
In order to fly to Almaty, international business travelers must have authorization to enter Kazakhstan. Individuals of various nationalities need to have a visa.
The Kazakhstan eVisa is available for visitors coming to the country for tourism or business, including to attend the KITF.
It can be obtained by completing the online application form for the Kazakhstan eVisa, without having to travel to a Kazakh embassy and wait in line.

Rules for Attending the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair
To attend the KITF, a business person must have one of the following:
- An e-ticket (purchased online)
- A cash ticket (bought from the ticket office at the entrance of the Atakent Exhibition Center)
- An invitation card
The ticket or invitation card must be presented upon arrival and the guest is required to complete a registration form. The attendee will then receive a badge that has to be worn at all times at the KITF.
Tickets and badges are non-transferable and IDs may be checked to verify that only registered guests are in attendance.
Attendees must be professionals, such as the following:
- Business owner
- Representative of a foreign or domestic company
- Representative of a public authority
- Representative of an association
- Representative of a union
- Specialist in a sector of the tourism industry
They may be asked to present a document confirming their status, such as a business card or an official letter from the company they represent.
Trading and advertising are prohibited during the event except with permission from the organizer.
